What We Offer
Our hands-on training sessions are built around your real-world environment. We don’t believe in one-size-fits-all—our courses are shaped to match the equipment, hazards, and procedures unique to your site.
We provide both Nationally Recognised and Non-accredited Courses. Nationally Recognised training and assessment is delivered on behalf of Allens Training Pty Ltd RTO 90909.
Some of the many units we provide include:

This course is designed for new and experienced personnel required to work in confined spaces in the resources and infrastructure industries at an operational level. Many roles require confined space training, including safety, injury prevention and maintenance personnel, engineers, risk managers, mine managers and inspectors.
Participants will learn to distinguish what constitutes a confined space; key terminology; as well as understand the regulations and legislative requirements governing entering and working in and around confined spaces. Participants will identify hazards and emergencies as well as implement appropriate control measures; conduct risk assessments and apply for a confined space entry permit.
Students will demonstrate how to enter, exit and work safely in a confined space according to an issued permit for two scenarios. Participants will also inspect and select appropriate personal protective gear; operate various confined space safety equipment including atmospheric testing/monitoring devices

This course is designed for new and experienced personnel required to work safely at heights at an operational level typically in the resources and infrastructure industries. The course will expose students to a broad range of height risk situations and to implement safe working procedures according to the regulations and legislative requirements governing working safely at heights.
Students will learn to identify risks and implement appropriate control measures as well as interpret and apply risk assessment documentation, technical and safety information as well as understand the strengths and limitations of the fall protection equipment available for working safely at heights.
Students will perform two work safely at heights scenarios using various safety systems. This includes installing equipment checking and correctly fitting, adjusting and anchoring fall protection systems and associated equipment.

This unit covers the skills and knowledge required to recognise and assess conditions that require gas testing; test the working atmosphere using an electronic test apparatus and interpret the results to determine if it is safe for the proposed job activity.
This course applies to situations where an individual may be required to perform gas testing prior to entering a specific area or workspace and whilst work is carried out in the workspace. Atmospheric testing is an important component of confined space work as these working environments may be hazardous, unpredictable, subject to time pressure, chaotic and expose responders to risk, on land or water, by day or night.
Situations that require testing might include:
confined spaces
enclosed and partially enclosed spaces
hot work
storage tanks, silos, pits, pipes, shafts, ducts, transport vehicles and ships
testing as part of issuing a work permit
monitoring as part of working under a work permit
open areas
holding the gas tester by hand
lowering the gas tester into a space, e.g. on a line.

This nationally recognised course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to safely operate breathing apparatus (BA) in irrespirable, hazardous or oxygen-deficient atmospheres. It covers self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), airline equipment and other open-circuit systems, but does not include rebreather (closed-circuit) apparatus.
Designed for workers who may be required to wear BA as part of their duties—such as those working in confined spaces, with hazardous gases or vapours, or where oxygen levels may be compromised—the course develops practical competence across a range of realistic scenarios, including operating BA under adverse conditions such as an entrapment situation.
Participants learn to inspect and test equipment, don and operate BA safely, identify and control hazards, communicate effectively, respond to emergencies, and complete post-use maintenance and reporting.
Training and assessment align with AS/NZS ISO 16975.3:2023, AS/NZS 1715, and relevant WHS/OHS regulations to ensure safe and effective performance in high-risk environments.

This course is for those who are required to issue work permits to persons who conduct activities where hazards exist or specific procedures need to be followed and monitored to protect the safety of personnel and the integrity of plant or process.
Whether the permit issuer is working as an individual, or in liaison with other team members and the control room operator, this course will teach participants the skills and knowledge to ensure an understanding of the permit system and the limitations of each permit, and in making decisions regarding the need for and correct use of each permit.
